April 13, 2010

First off, please scroll down to read Anastasia Archuleta Rocha's expository essay "Tri Sigma". Go Anastasia!

Secondly, thanks to Alessandra, Brenda, Brandon and Landon for volunteering their essays for class workshop next time. We look forward to reading them!

If we didn't finish going over the grammar review in your class, bring to class for next time and we'll finish up. And remember, everything in the syllabus shifted down one day, so your rough drafts/workshopping will happen on Tuesday, April 19, and your final argumentative essays are due Thursday, April 21.

Journal #21: Introduction to Satire
There are two ways you can tackle this journal. You can either think of an argument that you feel strongly about and write from the opposite point of view--but you have to sound convincing and act as though you really believe it. OR you could argue for something that seems utterly ridiculous, but again you need to sound convincing and have points and reasons why you think it's a good idea. Have fun with this journal!
